Last month I was extremely interested to come across crimson popping corn on the cob at Pitchfork and Crow. I bought two ears out of curiosity, and Jeff was excellent sufficient to throw in a few less decorative ears for popping experimentation, suggesting I give them just a little far more drying time first. So they graced our table as harvest decorations for a couple of weeks alongside pumpkins and squash, and two nights ago I sat down and shucked the kernels off a few cobs.
